About Old Modern Publishers
Stories without boundaries.
Old Modern Publishers is an independent publishing house built around a simple belief: stories have the power to transport us, challenge us, inspire us, and stay with us long after the final page.
We are drawn to books that create memorable characters, compelling worlds, and stories that leave a lasting impression.
Our catalog isn’t limited to one genre. We believe great storytelling can take many forms—from romantasy and fantasy to science fiction, historical fantasy, and the unexpected stories that don’t fit neatly into a single category.
What matters most is the story.
A Home for Original Voices
At Old Modern Publishers, we believe authors deserve more than simply a place to put a book into print.
We want to build lasting relationships with the writers we work with and help bring their stories to readers in ways that honor the work behind them.
We’re interested in distinctive voices, imaginative ideas, unforgettable characters, and stories with something to say.
Whether a story takes place in a world that never existed, a future yet to come, a past we thought we knew, or somewhere entirely unexpected, we believe there’s room for stories that refuse to be ordinary.

Stories that surprise
We’re not interested in putting creativity into a box simply because a story doesn’t fit neatly on a bookstore shelf.
Our Philosophy
Good stories come first.
We believe publishing should be personal, thoughtful, and collaborative.
We are committed to creating a catalog we’re proud of—not simply filling pages.
Every book represents an author who took an idea, a world, a memory, or a dream and turned it into something readers can hold in their hands.
We’re here to help those stories find their readers.
